Phuket, Thailand has an international airport with direct flights to/from Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Hong Kong and many other Asian cities. Between November and April there are charter flights from many European cities as well. Some international flights arrive via Bangkok. Thai Airways and many other airlines offer direct flights from Bangkok – about 20 per day. There are also flights from Koh Samui, Chiang Mai and other towns in Thailand. Buses in Thailand are pretty good and there are regular services to Phuket from all major towns. Please note that there are no train lines anywhere near Phuket.

Visitors from most Western Countries including Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand are granted a 30 day stay on arrival. Other nationals are required to produce a tourist visa and should contact a local Thai consulate for details. Visa regulations for long stay visitors change regularly. For more detailed visa information try the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs web site.

All foreign tourists entering Thailand are required to register their travel details through the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system within three days prior to arrival. Please visit: Digital Arrival Card

1. All passengers must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card.
2. If the alien stays in the Kingdom longer than 90 days, he/she must notify in writing the nearest Immigration Officer, concerning place of stay, as soon as possible upon expiration of 90 days. And required to do so every 90 days.
3. Aliens are not allowed to work unless they are granted Work Permit.
4. Foreigners are required to submit their arrival card information 3 days in advance of their arrival date in Thailand.

TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card)
TDAC kiosks are located just before passport control at Thailand’s international airports. The process at the kiosks is identical to completing the form online.
If you haven’t submitted your TDAC yet, make sure to do so at one of these kiosks before proceeding to passport control for your visa stamp.
Be aware that kiosk lines can be quite long. To save time, consider installing an eSIM with internet access before your arrival. This way, you can complete the TDAC on your phone while waiting in line.

Phuket is an international tourism destination and in hotels and restaurants the staff will speak (some) English, and in more up market hotels, there may be staff who are multilingual. For diving courses, we can provide instructors to suit your language – English, German, French, Swedish and others.
